Student Success Team

Durand-Arkansaw School District staff work collaboratively to provide services for student’s academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. There are many avenues to provide support.

Data is collected frequently using a several methods depending on the grade-level including:

  • STAR Early Literacy, Reading, and/or Math
  • Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Reading
  • Curriculum-based assessments
  • B.E.S.T. behavioral screener
  • Attendance

Students are expected to receive high-quality instruction in their various classes. If students are not progressing in the way that we would like them to with this high-quality instruction, a team of teachers known as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) discusses supports and interventions that could be put into place. Progress is further monitored. If progress remains stagnant, the Student Success Team will convene.

The Student Success Team is a group of staff members who are involved in your child’s education. Parents/guardians are important members of this team! The intent of the Student Success Team is to implement and track intensive interventions to make a positive change in a student’s academic, behavioral, or social/emotional success.

If you have questions about the Student Success Team or you have concerns about your child’s progress, please contact your child’s teacher or the appropriate school psychologist.
