Form, Tchaikovsky, and Jazz

In Third Grade music, students discover how music is formed. Students work with different ways to "build" music.

Students will learn about the Russian composer, Peter Tchaikovsky and his popular ballet "The Nutcracker". Students will move and play along to songs such as "The Trepak Dance", and "Waltz of the Flowers".

Students especially love the jazz artist, Louis Armstrong and his gravelly voice and incredible trumpet playing. Also, come and watch us move to Leroy Anderson's "Jazz Pizzicato".
