We Can Play The Recorder

In Fourth Grade music, students learn an instrument called the recorder. Students take responsibility to care for their instrument as well as learn how to play music with it. Students can be heard playing their recorders in the music room and at the Christmas Program.

Fourth graders will also meet W.A. Mozart and learn about the strange mystery that surrounds his death at the young age of 35.

Fourth graders also learn to compose their own music for the recorder, as many other famous composers did as children.

To enhance their study of Wisconsin history, Fourth Grade students learn about the tragic shipwreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald through books, pictures and of course, the Gordon Lightfoot ballad "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald".
