Welcome to the Durand-Arkansaw School District
The Durand-Arkansaw School District is a preK-12 public school district located in the scenic hills and valleys along the southern end of the Chippewa River in Durand, Wisconsin. In addition to Durand, surrounding communities that are part of our district include: Arkansaw, Eau Galle, Lima, Maxville, Nelson, and Rock Falls. There are four private schools within our district boundaries: Assumption Catholic School and Duscham, Albany Hills and Peru Amish schools.
The District has one elementary school, Caddie Woodlawn Elementary, grades PreK – 5 and a middle/high school, Durand-Arkansaw Middle and High School, grades 6 – 12. Our mascot is a black panther and we are known as the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers.
The District enrollment is approximately 990 students. Staffing includes 5 administrators and approximately 85 professional educators and 55 support staff. The district is directed by a seven-member, elected Board of Education. We are considered a rural school district and approximately 80% of our students are bused to school.
