This past week was Fall Sports Officials Appreciation Week. Our Pep Club, Student Council, and sports teams enjoyed spoiling our officials at this week's events. We gifted them each a goodie basket and took time before each game to show our gratitude. Thank you to this week's officials and all of our officials this fall! We are looking forward to honoring our cross country officials at the home meet next week! @WIAAWIS @NFHS1920 #DASD

Caddie students and staff gathered on Friday to celebrate positive behavior. Throughout the month of September, students in all classes and grade levels earned a total of 344 PAWSitive behavior shoutouts for being safe, respectful, responsible, and kind! Mrs. Erickson’s 3rd graders, Ms. Schumaker’s 5th graders, and Mrs. Schade’s 1st graders all received awards for exceptional behavior during their specials classes. Additionally, two students from each grade level were recognized as PBIS Star Students of the Month. Congratulations to all of our awesome Caddie Kids!

Durand Youth Basketball Overview - Participation in the Durand Youth Basketball team is open to all Durand Arkansaw area youth, offering miscellaneous basketball activities, games, and tournaments for grades 4-6th grade boys and girls. Activities will start in late October and run through February. Practices - typically take place 2-3 times per week. Players are encouraged to attend all practices to ensure they are developing as a team. Tournaments / game play - Players will get to participate in at least 3 tournaments weekends where players would get to participate in at least 9 games during the season. Cost: $40 / player to participate - Checks made out to Durand Girls & Boys Basketball Club You will receive an email after Oct. 13th about practice dates and times. Please bring registration money to the first practice of $40.00

1st , 2nd, and 3rd Grade Boys and GIrls Dates and Time: All practices will be at the HS Gyms Use the Front doors at the High School Wednesday, Nov 8th from 6PM to 7PM at the High School Wednesday, Nov 15th from 6PM to 7PM at the High School Wednesday, Nov 22nd from 6PM to 7PM at the High School Wednesday. Nov 29th from 6PM to 7PM at the High School Boys 1st and 2nd grade Halftime show will be on Friday Dec 1st. The HS boys will be taking on Neillsville. Game time for Varsity will be 7:15PM Girls 1st and 2nd grade halftime show will be on Tuesday Nov 28th. The HS Girls will be taking on Fall Creek. Game time for varsity will be 7:15PM Boys 3rd grade Halftime show will be on Tuesday Dec. 12th. Game time for Varsity game will be 7:15PM at the HS Girls 3rd grade halftime show will be on Friday Dec 15th. Game time for the Varsity game will be 7:15PM at the HS The 3rd graders will have 3 additional days to experience some game play up at Caddie gym on 9 foot rims. Dates for those are as follows. Saturday Dec 2nd from 8AM to 9:30AM at caddie Saturday Dec 9th from 8AM to 9:30AM at Caddie Saturday Dec 16th from 8AM to 9:30AM at Caddie Players will start to develop basketball skills that they will use as they get older. Skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, using a jump stop, and pivoting. It is encouraged to make most of the practices, because the players will be working on a dribbling performance that they will do at halftime of a varsity basketball game. Cost: $30.00 - for a basketball, t-shirt, and for your child to get in free to the basketball game the night of the half time performance. -Cash or Check payable to Durand girls and boys basketball club . Please email me if you would be willing to help during our station time at practice. We will need volunteers! Please have your child wear the shirt they receive on the night of the halftime show. They will get the basketball to take with them the night of the performance. Make sure the basketballs are held onto “tight” in the second half of the basketball game.
