🪺 4th grade students are excited to announce that Caddie Woodlawn Elementary School has a new family at school! A pair of Eastern Bluebirds are dwelling in one of the nest boxes at Caddie. Recently their clutch hatched! Students are excited to monitor the nestlings and expect them to fledge the last week of school. 🪺

🚜🐄 The 3rd grade class from Caddie Woodlawn Elementary had a fantastic field trip to Burnside Dairy! After studying tools and strategies for achieving goals, the students applied their learning hands-on across three stations at the farm. They explored the calf barn, learned about cow diets in the free stall barn, and observed the feeding process in the innovative parlor system. A big thanks to the Weisenbeck family for the insightful tours, Pepin County Dairy Promotions for the snacks and worksheets, and Associated Bank for making this educational experience possible. Our future farmers had a blast! 🌾🧀

🥁🎉Congratulations to Ian Afdahl, Brody Bechel, and Kobin Bechel for their performance at State Solo and Ensemble this past weekend! Through hard work, dedication, and determination, they earned a score of "1", which is the highest score that you can get. Way to go!🥁🎉

🎓💟 Senior Spotlight! 💟🎓
The Cluster A Consortium held the Excellence in Education Awards Banquet on May 1st at The Condensory in Osseo. The consortium is made up of the Augusta, Durand-Arkansaw, Eleva-Strum, Fall Creek, Gilmanton, Mondovi, Osseo-Fairchild, and Whitehall school districts. It was a time to honor seniors who had been nominated by their school for their excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. These students had the opportunity to nominate a staff member who had a large impact on their lives. It was a special time to recognize the accomplishments of both the students and educators. The honored students and staff from Durand-Arkansaw were Lucas Traun, Steve Dahl, Riane Hayden, Rod Rosemeyer, Mason Gilles, and Daniel Nelson.
