Per tradition in Mrs. Harrington’s room, the week before Thanksgiving break is known as “Money Week”! Students have accomplished the following:
💰Learned the history and symbolism on our money
💰 Organized and set up their own cash registers
💰 Learned how to properly give back change (without a machine calculating for them)
💰 Practiced proper techniques used when counting back change
💰 Learned how to give a 20% tip without using a calculator
💰 Participated in a bank robbery Escape Room
💰 Listened to ABBA’s “Money, Money, Money” over 100 times
After this week, the 5th graders are money machines! #DASD

A heartwarming moment happened on the playground this week: a group of kindergartners noticed the teacher untangling jump ropes and took it upon themselves to ask if they could help.The students gave up their playtime. They worked together to sort equipment, line up items, and make the space neat for everyone. Their initiative and teamwork show just how capable and caring our young learners are becoming! #DASD
