🎄Hello Caddie Families,🎅

The 5th Grade Student Council will be hosting our annual Holiday Food Drive from Monday, December 15th, through Friday, December 19th. We will be collecting non-perishable items such as canned meat, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, boxed items, and more. All donations will benefit the Durand Area Food Pantry.

Students may bring food donations to their classrooms at the beginning of any day next week. There will also be a collection area for donations at the Caddie Woodlawn Christmas Concert on Tuesday evening at Durand-Arkansaw High School.

Our newly reestablished National Honor Society has already begun making a positive impact in our community. Over Thanksgiving Break, NHS members volunteered their time to decorate Tarrant Park for the holidays—adding lights, festive displays, and a warm sense of community spirit to one of our most visible community spaces.

This project reflects the core values of NHS: leadership, service, character, and citizenship. A special thank-you goes to Wendy Brantner and the City of Durand for their support in helping secure and coordinate the holiday decorations. We are proud of our students for bringing joy to the community and starting their service journey in such a meaningful way.

💚💛Mrs. Unser’s third grade class received an incredible surprise this week—a generous donation of one pair of custom-designed shoes as part of our NFL Elementary celebration. These shoes were donated by a talented designer who creates custom shoes for the NFL, making the surprise even more special. This one-of-a-kind pair was created especially for the students, making the moment truly unforgettable.

We are so grateful for this act of kindness and the joy it brought to our classroom. Thank you for supporting our students and helping make this experience truly special!🏈 #DASD
